Who Is Moving Fast and Who Isn’t?
When it comes to short sales one of the most frustrating things can be the time it takes. If you are looking to target specific investors that have a clean and quick process we have had GREAT time with Wachovia, Litton, Chase and CitiMortgage recently. There are others who can move a file but not as quickly as we are seeing them move with the above four. Other servicers may experience something different. It is not uncommon for other short sale servicers to have an “in” with some lenders that others might have a hard time with. Some of the lenders we have been able to “speed” the process up with are Aurora, AHMSI (formerly Option One) and Nationwide. These don’t cover all of the lenders that can do a short sale in under 2 months but it’s a good list to start with.
Some of our investors have actually chosen to target those with the above lenders and others in our “preferred” list. If you are having trouble getting some of yours worked it might not be a bad idea to change your marketing for a couple of months to target these lenders so you have a few quick ones go through!
